Over Thanksgiving I was at my Sister’s house and she made these delicious cookies. When I asked for the recipe she said they were the worlds easiest cookies. That was the understatement of the year. These are the worlds easiest cookies by far. They are also extremely tasty. I ate about 20 of them.
So simple yet so delicious.
Cake Mix Cookies – (From my Sister Shannon)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Blend the cake mix, egg, water and oil until combined. Then fold in your favorite mix-in ingredient. For today’s cookie I choose chocolate chips and walnuts.
Spoon out the cookies onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
Bake the cookies in the middle rack of a 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are slightly browned.
Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer them to a rack to completely cool.
This recipe is simple and makes about 30 cookies. My sister was completely right. Worlds easiest cookies. These work with any cake mix. I can’t wait to try German Chocolate Cookies or Fun-fetti cookies. Oh, those are going to be good.

These are super popular this year.
I have never heard of them till I went home. They are tasty.
Awesome! Props to you and your sister for such a doable cookie recipe.
Shouldn't these be called cakies?
I crack myself up...
Cakies is a great name. I might have to steal that from you. Thanks...
I have to bake some cookies for a holiday cookies exchange. What can I add to make these more holiday like?
Thrifty - How about dark chocolate chunks and dried cranberries or hazelnut and milk chocolate. I would pair those with a white cake mix.
Thrifty: Try Heath bits (sold by the choc. chips), pecans and dried cranberries. YUMMY!
Love it! Thanks Rex and Aunt Heidi! I might try them both!
A friend taught me how to make these 5 or 6 years ago. They're really good. I actually think the Funfetti ones are the best, although I've never mixed anything in with them.
MC, Funfetti cookies are my favorite too. I think Funfetti cookies are good all by themselves. No need to improve on something that is already awesome.
Will try both this weekend! Looks great!
Great Cookies...Yummy!!!...My recipe from years ago called for 2 eggs and no water..plus I added 1 tablespoon of flour. I'm not sure what the flour does.. I've never tried to leave it out...LOL
My Cookies always turn out delicious.
Have a Blessed Day Everyone, Donna
Would these work without and add-in?
