Ingredients

  • 2 cans Reads German Potato Salad
  • 1 can sliced potatoes drained
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion

Instructions

  • Cut the 6 slices of bacon into strips.
  • Fry the bacon in a skillet until crispy.
  • Remove the bacon from the pan and drain on a paper towel.
  • Open the cans of German potato salad and sliced potatoes.
  • Drain the sliced potatoes.
  • Place all potatoes into a large oven-safe baking dish.
  • Layer the cooked bacon and dried onions on top of the potatoes.
  • Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
  • Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 hours.
  • Remove from oven and serve warm.

Notes

This recipe uses canned German potato salad as a base. The long baking time allows all flavors to meld together. Perfect for cookouts and potlucks.
