Shrimp Stir-fry

Share

I am always looking for quick and delicious dishes for weekday meals.  So I find that a good stir-fry is awesome!  I had some shrimp lying around and mixed together a great stir-fry that I had to share with you guys.  It has a nice spicy garlic sauce that hits all areas of your taste buds.

Shrimp Stir-fry

Peel and de-vein 1 pound of shrimp.

Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

Preheat a large fry pan or wok over high heat.

Add 3 tbs of vegetable oil to the pan.  Then add 2 cloves of garlic.

Stir the garlic around and immediately add the shrimp.  Stir continuously and cook for 1 minute or until the shrimp start to turn pink.

Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.  Then add your favorite stir fry vegetables.  In this example I used two bell peppers and 1 onion.

Cook the vegetables until tender, roughly 3-5 minutes.

Then add the shrimp back into the pan.  Quickly stir.

Add the sauce and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer until thickened.  Roughly 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat and serve over rice.

  • I always love a good stir fry but rarely use shrimp just because I rarely find good shrimp in landlocked TN.
