Pulled Pork Pizza

Share

After Labor Day, I had a lot of leftover pulled pork. So I decided to use it to make my favorite dish, Pizza!  I make pizza with all of my leftovers.  However, this one was so good that I had to share.  I used my leftover sauce, some thinly sliced red onion, green pepper for crunch and of course some delicious pulled pork. It was one of the best pizzas that I have made. I love it!

Pulled Pork Pizza

The Dough

It all starts with the dough.  Check out one of my dough recipes below.  If you don’t want to make your own dough, you can buy it from a pizzeria, the store or even use a store bought flat bread.

The Ultimate Pizza Dough

New Pizza Crust

Basic Pizza Dough

Prep the ingredients

Finely slice 1/2 a red onion and 1 small green pepper.

Pull and set aside 1- 1 1/2 cups of pulled pork.

Making the pizza

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

Dust a pizza peel or pizza pan with fine cornmeal.  Then toss your pizza dough to a size that fits your pizza pan/pizza stone.

Coat the pizza with your favorite pizza sauce.  You want to use enough to coat the pizza, but you don’t want it to pool.

Then top with finely cut red onions, finely cut green peppers and the pulled pork.  You want to add enough to have a bit in each bite, but you do not want to overload.

Finally top the pizza with Colby Jack cheese.

Bake in a standard oven at 450 degrees for roughly 15 minutes.

Remove and slice.
