sweet potatoes

olive oil

kosher salt

butter
2
tablespoons
brown sugar

of cinnamon

of nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly under running water.
Coat the potatoes evenly in olive oil.
Top each potato with 1 teaspoon of kosher salt.
Place potatoes salt side up on a baking sheet and bake for 35-45 minutes, depending on size, until a fork can be easily inserted.
Remove from oven when fork-tender.
Cut a slit halfway through each potato.
Insert 1 tablespoon of butter into the slit of each potato.
Top each potato with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.
Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg on each potato.
Return potatoes to oven for another 5-10 minutes, until the butter and brown sugar melt completely.
Serve immediately as a side dish.
Notes
The size of your sweet potatoes will affect baking time. Choose potatoes of similar size for even cooking. These pair wonderfully with holiday meals.
