Homemade Cayenne Hot Sauce
Fresh homemade hot sauce made with ripe cayenne peppers, vinegar, and salt.

Ingredients
1/2
lb
cayenne peppers
4-5
other peppers for flavor
1-2
cups
white vinegar
3-4
tsp
salt
Instructions
Wash and cut pepper stems. Add to blender with salt and vinegar to cover.
Blend for 2-3 minutes until smooth and bright red.
Pour into saucepan, bring to boil, then simmer 20 minutes.
Cool slightly then strain through fine strainer.
Pour into sanitized glass container and store in refrigerator.
Notes
Makes about 2 cups. Customize with different peppers for flavor variations.
