Perfect Corn

Simple, foolproof corn on the cob recipe. Boil in salted sugar water for perfectly plump, juicy, never-chewy corn every time.

Ingredients

  • 2 ears of corn
  • 6 quarts of water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbs sugar

Instructions

  • Shuck the corn and remove the silk.
  • Fill a pot with cold water and add the salt and sugar.
  • Add the corn to the salted water.
  • Place the pot on the burner and turn to high heat.
  • When the water starts to boil, set a timer for 10 minutes.
  • When the timer goes off, remove the corn from the pot and serve.

Notes

This recipe works for more ears of corn. As you increase the water, increase the salt and sugar proportionally. The corn comes out plump and juicy, never chewy. The easiest way to cook corn ever!
