Red, White and Blue Shooter
Patriotic layered shot with grenadine, Bailey's Irish Cream, and blue raspberry vodka. "Liquid America" — perfect for 4th of July celebrations.

Ingredients
- 1/3 oz Grenadine
- 1/3 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
- 1/3 oz Blue Raspberry Vodka
Instructions
- Fill a shot glass 1/3 of the way up with grenadine (red layer).
- Using an inverted spoon held just above the grenadine, slowly pour the Bailey's Irish Cream over the back of the spoon.
- Allow the Bailey's to float gently on top of the grenadine (white layer). Some may sink, but most will layer on top.
- Using the same inverted spoon technique, slowly pour the blue raspberry vodka over the Bailey's.
- The blue vodka should float on top of the Bailey's layer (blue layer).
- Drink all at once to experience the full "Liquid America" effect.
Notes
This shot is more for show than flavor, but it tastes great too! The key to perfect layering is using an inverted spoon to slow the pour and allow the different specific gravities of the liqueurs and vodka to create distinct layers. This patriotic shooter is perfect for 4th of July parties and holidays. Use chilled ingredients for best layering results.
