Ingredients

The Best Meatloaf

  • 2 Pounds Ground Beef
  • 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 onion finely diced
  • 3/4 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 2 tbs Dried Parsley
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic

The Best Meatloaf Topping

  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Prepared Mustard

Instructions

Prepare the loaf

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cover a jelly roll pan/cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large bowl mix together the Parmesan Cheese, milk, egg, salt, pepper, black pepper, dried parsley, thyme, granulated garlic, onion and bread crumbs.
  • Add the ground beef and mix lightly with your hands. Mix just until the pre-mixed ingredients are fully dispersed into the ground beef.
  • Using your hands form the meatloaf into a nice oval loaf. Make sure to lightly form the loaf and not to press it too hard. Place the loaf on the parchment lined pan.

Prepare the Topping

  • In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and cider vinegar.
  • Pour the topping over the formed loaf.

Cooking the Meatloaf

  • Place the loaf in the preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour 20 minutes or until the center of the loaf reads 155 degrees.
  • Remove the loaf and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Slice and serve.
