Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds sirloin tips
  • 16 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet of Lipton onion soup mix
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 onions diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • egg noodles mashed potatoes or rice to serve with the dish

Instructions

  • Slice the Sirloin Tips into large cubes.
  • Preheat a pan over medium/high heat. Add the sirloin tips to the pan and brown. Unless you have a gigantic pan, I would do this in batches so that the meat browns evenly.
  • While you are browning the meat. Dice up the onions and garlic.
  • When the meat is fully browned add it to the crock pot along with the onions and garlic.
  • Slice the mushrooms and add them to the crock pot.
  • Add two cans of cream of mushroom soup, 1 bag of lipton onion soup mix and 2 cans of beef broth.
  • Cook for 8 hours on low.
  • In the last hour of cooking, mix two tablespoons of cornstarch into 1/4 cup of cold water. Then add it to the crock pot. This will thicken the sauce. If you wish to have a thinner sauce, you can skip this step.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or my favorite, egg noodles.
