Pomegranate Martini

A healthy martini with pomegranate juice, vodka, and triple sec. Packed with vitamin C and antioxidants—get drunk and healthy at the same time.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 2.5 oz pomegranate juice
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Lemon twist for garnish

Instructions

  • Chill your martini glass by placing it in the freezer for about 15 minutes (or fill with ice and water for 30-60 seconds).
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice.
  • Add vodka, triple sec, pomegranate juice, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
  • Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  • Strain into the chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist and serve.

Notes

Health tip: One 8oz serving of pomegranate contains about 16% of daily vitamin C and punicalagins (antioxidants). Fresh pomegranate juice requires 3/4 oz of simple syrup added to the mix. Pre-squeezed juice usually has sugar added already. *Health effects of pomegranate juice have not been conclusively shown in humans.
