Spiked Up Spiced Cider

Warm spiced cider cocktail with rum, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and nutmeg. Perfect for cold weather.

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts apple cider
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 allspice berries
  • 8 whole cloves
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • 2 oz rum per serving or more

Instructions

  • In a saucepan add apple cider, cinnamon, allspice, cloves and nutmeg.
  • Place over low heat and let simmer for 20-30 minutes until hot.
  • When ready to serve, fill a mug two-thirds full of cider.
  • Top off with 2 ounces or more of rum.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick for stirring and presentation.

Notes

For parties, you can let this simmer all day for a wonderful aroma. The cinnamon stick serves as both garnish and stir stick. Drink responsibly and use a designated driver.
