I love a good American cheese grilled cheese. But then I learned a better way — shredded sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack on the inside, and more cheddar pressed right into the bread on the outside so it fries into a crispy cheese crust. It is quite possibly the best grilled cheese I have ever had.
