Pumpkin Pie Hot Chocolate

With the weather getting a bit cooler outside, I wanted to create a drink that would warm me up and celebrate the season. Nothing says this more than Pumpkin Pie Hot Chocolate! A mixture of pumpkin pie spices, pureed pumpkin and a rich and creamy hot chocolate. It does not get any better than this!

Pumpkin Pie Hot Chocolate

Pumpkin Pie Hot Chocolate

In a small saucepan heat 1 cup of whole milk over low heat.

Add ingredients

Once the milk is hot add the pumpkin, spices, cocoa powder, sugar and a pinch of salt to the pan.

Whisk

Whisk until the sugar and other ingredients are fully incorporated.

Pumpkin Pie Hot Chocolate

Remove from heat and serve.

Ingredients
Pumpkin Pie Hot Chocolate
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1-2 tbs sugar - depending on sweetness
  • 2 tbs cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 2 tbs pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice recipe below
  • pinch salt
pumpkin pie spice
  • 4 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1 tsp nutmeg ground
  • 1 tsp ginger ground
  • 1/2 tsp cloves ground
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan heat 1 cup of whole milk over low heat.
  2. Once the milk is hot add the pumpkin, spices, cocoa powder, sugar and a pinch of salt to the pan.
  3. Whisk until the sugar and other ingredients are fully incorporated.
  4. Remove from heat and serve.
