Red Eye Monster

Back in College I was a bartender and drop shots were big.  We would sell 200+ yager bombs in a night.  We would always be looking for the next big drop shot.  The other weekend I was reminiscing about all of the crazy drop shots that we created.  So I decided to make my own.  I had some Lo-Carb Monster lying around.  (I know, Lo-Carb, but I need to watch my waist line after all of that bacon.)  So I started to mix things and try them, and then I came up with a great drop shot.

It is a mixture of Lo-Carb monster, cranberry juice, sour mix and vodka.

The Red Eye Monster

  • 6oz Lo-Carb Monster or Monster Energy Drink
  • 2oz Cranberry Juice
  • 3/4 shot of vodka
  • 1/4 shot of sour mix

Fill the pint glass with the Monster Energy Drink and top it off with the cranberry juice.

Next in a shot glass, fill it 3/4 full with vodka and 1/4 full with sour mix.

Drop shots are a great way to break the ice at a party.  Fill up pint glasses with the base mixture and then fill up the shot glasses with the alcohol.  Tell everyone to chug and they put the shot glass into the pint glass and then chug.

Tasty and leaving you wanting more.
