Update – The wingtacular has been moved up to May 16th. We still have three more open spots. Click here to learn about the wingtacular.
A couple of weeks ago I planted 12 varieties of herbs and peppers in a self-watering seed starter that I purchased at Lowes. You can find the link here. The whole thing went south when the self-watering indoor green house got a case of mold. The mold covered all of the plants except for the pepper plants and the basil. So needless to say, I have to start all over again. I would not recommend the self watering green house starter as it pretty much sucks.Â

The only survivors were the chili pepper plants.

The basil, habenero and jalapenos also survived.

Overall I lost 61 plants to the mold from the crappy setup. I am not sure where the mold came from. It started growing almost instantly and covered the starter pods before the herbs even started growing. I had to replant the rest of the herbs. Luckily I had a bunch of extra seeds. I sure hope that they grow. I really want to start using fresh herbs.Â
Hopefully they will grow. Like I said before, check back in a few weeks to see if I found my green thumb. As of right now, the only thing that I can successfully grow is mold. I sure hope that stops here.
Good luck with the herb garden. Sorry to hear about the mold. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Great website. I love the layout.
