Today is the Wingtacular!!! Instead of debuting my sauce to the world giving the other competitors my recipe I am going to post some links to some great hot wing spots on the web. These websites include great wing recipes, stories and pictures.Â
How to make hot wings step by step
The hot sauce blog describes the steps in making breaded hot wings. This guide is great. Includes every step in picture form.Â
eHow – how to make a hot wing sauce
This tutorial is nice and easy. It discusses how to make a perfect hot wing sauce using your favorite vinegar based hot sauce along with a few ingredients. The recipe is for a traditional buffalo sauce that is perfect.
The Anchor Bar
The original bar that started the buffalo wing craze. I have never been there but I am going to make a pilgrimage to the mecca of hot wings. I will document the trip for all of you to read. I think the journey will include a stop at Rutt’s Hut for a couple of rippers. If you don’t know what that is, I suggest a quick trip to google.
Video on how to make breaded hot wings hosted by CJ from Top Chef
The video is very informative. He makes a breaded hot wing, not traditional but still a favorive of many americans. Actually most bars serve a breaded chicken wing. Not many serve the traditional plain unbreaded chicken wing. The video is produced very well. While you are there he has a nice collection of videos. I would definitely check it out.
Wish me luck at the wingtacular. Last year I came in 12th place out of 15. Pretty bad. I hope to win or at least make the top three. Tomorrow I will post pictures and have a recap of the wingtacular. It is going to be fun.
