What to do this weekend in DC (July 31 – August 2)

Every Friday I pick the best culinary events in the DC area for my readers to enjoy. This weekend there are some great events to attend in and around the DC metro area.  This is the weekend of the county fair.  Both Loudon and Fairfax are having their county fairs.

Loudon County Fair – Friday Thru Saturday (July 31-August 1)

A traditional county fair featuring a demoliton derby, extreme motorcyclists, bull riding, circus thrill show and carnival rides.  On Saturday they will be announcing the winner of the kiss a pig contest.  Yep, the person that raises the most money gets to lock lips with a pig.  Saturday also features cooking demonstrations and a donut eating contest at 2:30.  Maybe I will head over there to get some donuts.

Gates open at 8:30 am and goes on to past 10 pm.
