by In honor of Cinco de Mayo I decided to make a festive cocktail. Â Tequila Sunrise. Â It may not be the most festive drink around, but it is extremely delicious. Â Plus, it utilizes the main liquor of Mexico, Tequila. Â Either way, Have a Happy Cinco de Mayo Tomorrow!
Tequila Sunrise
- 2 oz tequila
- 5 oz orange juice
- 1 oz grenadine
- squeeze of lemon
Fill a rocks glass with the tequila, orange juice and squeeze of lemon. Â Stir to incorporate. Â Then using the back of spoon gently pour the grenadine over the mixture.
The spoon will help the grenadine to gently fall to the bottom of the drink without being mixed in with the orange juice. Â This will give you that layered drink that looks like a nice sunrise.
