A couple of years ago I got a rice cooker for Christmas. Â It was one of the most useful gifts I have ever received. Â We use at least once a week. Â However, with this new recipe we may be using it even more. Â I have been looking for an all-in-one side dish recipe, that I could just dump into the rice cooker. Â I was unable to find a recipe that worked for my needs. Â So I decided to make my own super easy recipe. Â Just add the ingredients into the rice cooker and start it up. Â It does not get any easier than that. Â This herb rice may be the best rice that I have ever made.
Rice Cooker Herb Rice
Rinse your rice until the water is clear. Â To do this add water, swirl the rice, drain. Â Repeat until the water is clear.
Next measure your herbs and various other ingredients.
Add the rice, water, butter, bouillon, onion powder, dried minced onion, basil, thyme and garlic powder.
Make the rice following the white rice setting of your rice cooker.
Once the rice is done, add the soy sauce, mix well and then fluff with a fork.
Check seasoning and then serve.

I utilized a bouillon cube/packet in this recipe. Â You can substitute chicken broth for the water and then you can disregard the bouillon.
